Fire doors play an important role in the safety and security of educational facilities, providing both a means of escape and a way to delay the spread of smoke and fire from one area of the building to another. The duration of fire protection you’ll need for your school building will depend on factors such as the size of the premises, the location of the doors and their usage levels. Our certified fire rated doors for education facilities are tested to BS476 Part 22 for fire and include options for 30, 60, 90 or 120 minute fire resistance. 

Our Fire Doors are supplied as complete doorsets including door leaf, frame, architraves, and all operating fire rated ironmongery. In addition, we provide compliant fire rated seals that when heated expand to close any gaps between the door and frame, preventing the spread of fire and smoke and ensuring the fire door’s integrity for up to 60 minutes.

Education facilities are subject to strict fire safety regulations that require both the installation and maintenance of fire doors. That’s why we can also arrange a fire door service that inspects your fire doors regularly and carries out any repair work needed to ensure they are fit for purpose.

All our fire doors are available in range of frame materials, configurations and finishes including laminate, veneer, MDF and PVC encapsulation. They also provide high performance solutions for sound proofing (up to 40DB) and even severe duty rating. Additionally, fire-rated vision panels featuring up to 60 minutes fire resistance can also be integrated into our fire doorsets.
